SS19 TREND REPORT

14 January, 2019
The first fashion season of the year is drawing closer and you’re going to want to kickstart the year right, with the right products for your customers. Here are the top trends for Spring Summer ’19 that you need in your boutiques for Spring/Summer ’19.

1. NUDE / BEIGE
From oatmeal, chocolate, camel to brown and all the beige variations, this was the agreed colour for SS19 as we seen all the top designers strutted this tonal trend down the catwalks.

2. BOWS
The cutest way to accessories? Bows!

3. BRIGHT SUITS
We’re all for female empowerment and this season we’re showing it through suits. Add a flourish of colour to your workwear collection with bold and bright colours so your customers can stand out in the board room.

4. FLORALS
Every spring summer season this trend blossoms, and it show no sign of slowing down. We’re swapping the big beautiful flowers for the daintier petite petals.

5. SHEER
As spring summer brings the heat, it would seem fashion’s calling is less is more. The see-through trend dominated the catwalk and calls for sleek, clever styling.

6. LACE

No long reserved for evening wear, lace is now being injected into everything from loungewear to leggings.

7. SEQUINS

Of course, they were in season for party season, but sequins are here to stay for SS19 as we take them from night time attire to daytime sparkles.

8. LEOPARD PRINT

Last season animal prints were the best-selling print. We’ve had snake print hold the top spot for AW18, but it would seem leopard prints is sneaking its way to take over SS19.

9. CYCLING SHORTS

Not just for sportswear, cycling shorts are now the comfortable, versatile alternative to skirts and dresses.

10. TIE DYE

As designers feel nostalgic for the 90’s, spinning psychedelic colours are making a comeback. Bringing the fun feelings of summer camps in the 90’s back, the tie dye trend is set to be the festival season winner.

11. CROCHET

Perfect for festival season, the crochet weaves and crafty themes was jumping out in the SS19 fashion shows.
